Little ones can be scientists too! Bring your toddler to discover the fabulous world of plants and animals at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Come and run among the spring blooms, listen to bird songs and have fun at hands-on learning stations. These activities are inspired by the sculptures featured in Trolls: Save the Humans by Thomas Dambo, who have come to the Garden to help little ones connect with nature. This event is in partnership with the Atlanta Science Festival.
Please note: Due to extreme cold, this event has moved indoors to Mershon Hall.
Schedule: Tuesday, March 14, 10 a.m. – Noon
Location: Mershon Hall
Activity Stations – Drop in between 10 a.m. and noon
- Sounds of Spring – Shake off winter and revel in the wonders of Spring as we tune-in to the sounds of the Garden like Sofus Lotus troll. Create your own wind chime and try out various instruments made from plants from around the world.
- Botanical Bliss – Garden like Rosa Sunfinger troll and plant spring seeds to take home.
- Garden Friends – Investigate the fascinating world of animals living at the Garden like Ibbi Pip troll. Have you ever noticed the different shapes of bird beaks? How might the shape determine what food they can eat? We’ll find out together in the Children’s Garden!
