Throw those old rose gloves away! ‘Basye’s Blueberry’ is completely thornless, making it a true favorite among all the prickles in the Rose Garden. The flowers are semi-double with bright yellow stamens and offer good fragrance. In the fall landscape, you can easily see where this rose gets its name: along with its natural shape, the fall color of this cultivar is reminiscent of a blueberry bush.

This cultivar comes from the breeding program of Dr. Robert Basye, a mathematics professor at Texas A&M University. It debuted on the market in 1982. ‘Basye’s Blueberry’ rose is one of the bigger bushes, standing 4 to 6 feet tall.
