Siempre Verde Research Station

Owned by Atlanta's Lovett School, the Siempre Verde Research Station is a beautiful 825-acre Ecuadorian cloud forest preserve and research center created to support tropical conservation education.

The Garden and The Lovett School have partnered for more than a decade to develop research and educational capacity for conservation and plant science. Working alongside Lovett students in Ecuador, the Garden collects orchid samples for DNA Barcoding, documents the biodiversity of orchids at the station and has helped set up an orchid garden for teaching and research.

In the spring 2018, Garden conservation staff visited Siempre Verde to explore future research possibilities, including plant-pollinator studies.
