Georgia Pollinator Partnership (GAPP)

The Georgia Pollinator Partnership (GAPP) began in 2009 as a partnership between the United States Forest Service and Atlanta Botanical Garden, to create and promote pollinator gardens in the greater Atlanta area. One of the objectives was developing a ‘GAPP Map’ to map Atlanta’s pollinator gardens and ensure habitat for wild pollinators across the city.

The GAPP has since grown. With the addition of new partners, such as the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and State Botanical Garden, GAPP became a state-wide partnership in 2020. The GAPP website now provides detailed information on pollinator gardens across the state, as well as information and resources for anyone hoping to start a pollinator garden.
