Sarah Norris, M.S.
Sarah Norris was born and raised in Atlanta before living in the Bahamas and Florida from 2012-2022. She received her B.S. in Animal Science from Berry College and her M.S. in Environmental Science from Florida Gulf Coast University where she published research on mercury in blacktip sharks. Though she has a marine science background, Sarah is passionate about supporting conservation and research in terrestrial ecosystems. She joined Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Conservation and Research team in 2022 as the Conservation Partnerships Assistant. Sarah is utilizing her experience with academic and research program coordination to support the Southeastern Plant Conservation Alliance and the development of the Regional Species of Greatest Conservation Need list for imperiled plants. In her spare time, Sarah fosters neonatal and medical kittens and rabbits and is pursuing an Associate degree as a Certified Veterinary Technician to better support her foster work.
