Madison Ohmen
Madison Ohmen joined the Atlanta Botanical Garden in November 2022 as a Conservation Horticulturist at the Conservation Safeguarding Nursery in the Gainesville Garden. She assists with the daily management of the nursery and supports the curation of the ex-situ conservation collections of rare and endangered plants.
Madison graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's in Horticultural Science. During undergrad, she joined a summer research team studying the endangered St. Francis Satyr butterfly which sparked her interest in conservation. Madison previously worked at the North Carolina Wildlife Federation as a Conservation Coordinator and at the North Carolina Botanical Garden as a Plant Conservation Technician. She has a passion for plants of the southeast and hopes to use her knowledge and skills to advance the Garden's conservation efforts.
