Each Saturday and Sunday at noon, 1 and 2 p.m. during Spring, Summer and Fall. In the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen, the Garden Chef showcases fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs in simple and mouthwatering recipes. Be inspired to try something new the next time you cook.
Natalie Fisher-Chavez is a first-generation Mexican-American chef with roots in Oaxaca, who has worked with urban agricultural organizations for the past 5 years. She comes from a restaurant family, and on farms in Atlanta is where her connection with food came full circle. After studying at the Natural Gourmet Institute in Manhattan in 2018, her areas of specialization became plant-based Oaxacan cuisine that honors her heritage and farm-to-table recipes playing with various genres. The two often intermingle.
She currently hosts cooking classes, private dinners, pop-ups, and has even owned a vegan taco shop called The Local Coco. She is thrilled to be demonstrating her recipes as an Edible Garden Chef.
