Sheffield Botanical Library
The Sheffield Botanical Library collection serves Garden staff, volunteers, members, professional horticulturists, researchers, students, gardeners and the public. The library provides information about botany and horticulture with special emphasis on Southeastern regional works. Books and journals on research, education and recreational levels are available. Nursery, seed catalogs and a vertical file of clippings from local sources are also maintained.
The children's corner includes an outstanding collection of fiction and nonfiction books and puppets. A special kid-sized bench invites young readers to spend time with books in the Library. Special selections from this area are featured at Garden Storybook Time.
Orchid Reference Library
The Orchid Reference Library houses a collection of titles specific to the study of orchids and to native and global plant study.
Libraries
Together, the Sheffield Botanical Library and Orchid Reference Library collections include more than 11,400 books and 162 periodicals.
